Typical scope in various parcel conversion projects could be any one or
combination of the following:
a) Using the COGO information from the client
provided source documents base maps are generated using COGO techniques.
b) Rectification and additions to already existing client supplied digital
parcel maps. Annotation of parcel dimensions, parcel numbers, St. names, right
of way widths, block numbers etc. is carried out using scanned raster images as
the source. c) From the client provided scanned source maps features like block
boundaries, property lines, building foot prints, ROWs etc. are digitized using
heads up digitization. Thereafter annotation pertaining to the above features
is carried out.
d) Client provided source maps are scanned and warped ortho-rectified images of
the corresponding area. Line features like right of ways, property lines, lot
lines, creeks, street center lines, block boundaries, township boundaries and
county boundaries are digitized using heads up digitization. After edge
matching of adjacent maps, annotation (bearings, parcel dimensions, parcel
numbers, St. names, right of way widths, block numbers etc.) and attribution
(polygon type, parcel number, tax number, map number, problem flag etc.) is
done. At this stage all the data is converted into required GIS format and
topology is built.
